 m> readings\, this event will highlight the work of McSweeney’s columnist 
 and Broadway dancer\, Brian Spitulnik. Housed in RAC’s intimate art galler
 y space\, the evening will be a mélange of cabaret songs\, boozy beverages
 \, and salacious backstage tales. Special guests will be on hand to sing a
  few standards and read selections from Spitulnik&#8217\;s column\, “<a hr

 >Brian Spitulnik spent nearly everyday of his young life on a stage or in 
 a dance studio in the suburbs of Washington\, D.C. Now\, he has two useles
 s degrees (a B.F.A. in Musical Theater from the University of Michigan and
  an M.F.A. in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University)\, and is puttin
 g them both to use in New York City (by performing for the past four and a
  half years in the Broadway revival of <em>Chicago</em> and by writing his
  bi-monthly column for <em>McSweeney’s Internet Tendency</em>\, “The Choru
 s Boy Chronicles\,” as well as a book about tap dancing and other less-jau
 nty topics\, such as an inheritance of mental instability and the multi-ge
 nerational effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Brian is a winner o
 f the Avery Hopwood Award for Nonfiction\, and is the author of two plays\
 , <em>A Good Boy\, </em>and <em>Angels\, Twice Descending. </em>Upcoming p
 rojects include a stage adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s <em>Sherlock Ho
 lmes</em>\, and penning episodes of <em>Hollywood and Vine\, </em>a new te
 levision drama.</p>
