Hello Everyone! My name is Ivy and I wanted to let you know about some exciting changes that are being made at Recession Art. First of all, I am expanding my role here at Recession Art from intern to official RA blogger! I am going to be giving the blog a major makeover, so here are a few things you can expect to see in the new and improved Recession Art Blog.
Tips for people in the art community. The blog will be a valuable resource for anyone in the art community from artists to gallerists to collectors to people that just like art. The “Tip of the Day” feature will give readers advice, information, and tips from insiders in the industry on anything and everything that I think will be helpful for our readers.
Interviews. I will be posting interviews with various people from Recession Art artists to curators and anyone else I can get my hands on.
Event recommendations. I’ll be giving you my weekly recommendations for different cultural events going on in New York that I think are worth checking out. Who knows, you might even catch a glimpse of yours truly getting my party on at one of these events.
Neighborhood gems. If you didn’t already know, our gallery/event space is located in the Lower East Side and we couldn’t be happier with the location. Our neighbors have welcomed us with open arms and we’re learning more and more about some of the amazing galleries, shops, restaurants and bars around us. I’m going to be blogging about the cool neighborhood gems so that you’ll already feel like a local when you stop by the gallery.
Photo highlights from the week. I’ll be putting my photography skills to the test and documenting what’s going on around here. You’ll be able to find photos from our shows, events, art, our lovely staff, and things around the neighborhood, and more.
General stuff. I’ll be writing articles about things. That’s all I can really tell you. You’ll have to follow the blog to find out what I come up with!
Hopefully you are now as excited as we are about our new blog expansion. If you have any ideas, tips, comments, questions, or thoughts, I’d love to hear from you. Send me your thoughts at firstname.lastname@example.org!
